Welcome to First Grade!
Hello 2023-2024!
My name is Jill Dahlem and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year. This is my 6th year at Sierra View and is sure to be filled with growth and learning. Our year together is going to be filled with fun and excitement! I look forward to meeting you all on the first day of school, Thursday, August 17th.
A few important notes:
*Almost all communication is sent via Parent Square. Please be sure to add the app to your phone or subscribe to receive email notifications.
*Homework will be sent home each Monday to be completed and returned by Friday. Please let me know if the packet gets lost so it can be replaced.
* A newsletter will be sent out each week. A paper copy as well as a digital copy will be coming home. Our weekly learning focus, upcoming events, and reminders will always be included. This is a wonderful tool to stay connected with our classroom.
*Accelerated Reader (AR) is utilized in first grade. Students will be reading each night and testing the next day after passing the 200 sight words. Please help your child practice each night.
