Welcome to First Grade!
Hello 2025-2026!
My name is Jill Dahlem and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year. This is my 8th year at Sierra View and is sure to be filled with growth and learning. In our classroom, we focus on kindness, creativity, and a love of learning. I look forward to meeting you all on the first day of school, Thursday, August 14th.
A few important notes:
*Stay connected through Parent Square. Please be sure to add the app to your phone or subscribe to receive email notifications.
*Homework will be sent home each Monday to be completed and returned by Friday. Please let me know if the packet gets lost so it can be replaced.
* A newsletter will be sent out each week. A paper copy as well as a digital copy will be coming home. Our weekly learning focus, upcoming events, and reminders will always be included. This is a wonderful tool to stay connected with our classroom and campus events.
*Accelerated Reader (AR) is utilized in first grade. Students will be reading each night and testing the next day after passing the 200 sight words. Please help your child practice each night.
